Pine-ing

On our way to Pine, AZ
We are back! Our weekend get-away to the cabin in Pine was everything a trip to the mountains should be. Relaxing, fun, romantic, spooky, and even a little bit snowy. In a word, perfect!

We stayed here! A huge 4 bed, 3 bath cabin with 2 living rooms, a huge game room, big kitchen and dining area, 2 upstairs lofts and a big wrap around porch to top it all off. All that space just for the two of us. This is part of what made our trip a little spooky. Also because it was dark outside when we arrived Thursday, and the lights inside the cabin were on. We sat outside in our car just watching, waiting to see somebody moving around inside. When we finally got up the courage to go in, we had to open every door, turn on every light, and look under every bed to make sure we really were alone. Don't worry, we were.

The floor to ceiling windows on both sides of the cabin were perfect for enjoying the view.

And what a view it was! Neighboring cabins were nowhere in sight. Just the pine all around us and the mountains in the distance. We spent a lot of time outside on this deck.

And there was snow! Not a lot, but still enough to enjoy a good snowball fight or two.
(p.s. I won.)
And now, scenes from inside the cabin:
Welcome to the Cabin!

We spent a most of our weekend cozied up in front of this fireplace.

The house was full of cute antique decor. My favorites were the brass pots on the wall of the kitchen (above) and the old Underwood typewriter (below).

Want to plan your own little get-away to Pine? Want to stay where we stayed (and we highly recommend that you do.)? Visit our friend Jack at http://members.cox.net/jackwolf1/ to see more of this cabin and his other rental homes.
Thanks Again Jack!
